Lincoln's Antiquarian Cataloguer, Dr Sarah Cusk, has been awarded the Huntington Library Fellowship to spend one month as a visiting fellow at the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. Sarah will be doing research into the 17th century library of the Earls of Bridgewater, the oldest large family collection in England to survive intact into modern times which was bought by Henry Huntington for $1,000,000 in 1917. Sarah will be working on a project to identify some of the books that in various ways went missing during the course of this sale and so reconstruct a part of the original 17th century collection.
