Dominic Joyce is Senior Research Fellow in Pure Mathematics at Lincoln. His research interests lie in the areas of Differential Geometry and Algebraic Geometry, and their interaction with String Theory in Theoretical Physics. He has published four books so far, 'Compact manifolds with special holonomy', (OUP, 2000), 'Calabi-Yau Manifolds and Related Geometries', (with Mark Gross and Daniel Huybrechts, Springer, 2003), 'Riemannian holonomy groups and calibrated geometry', (OUP, 2007), and 'A theory of generalized Donaldson-Thomas invariants', (with Yinan Song, AMS, 2012).
He is the Principal Investigator of an EPSRC Programme Grant on 'Motivic invariants and Categorification' worth £1.8 million over 2011-2017, which funds a research group in Geometry and Representation Theory. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2012. For more details, please visit Professor Joyce's homepage at:
